Thank you for visiting the Little Cat Lodge website, located at www.littlecatlodge.com (which we refer to in this privacy policy as the “site,” which also includes any affiliated mobile application and all associated content, functionality, and connected services). We respect the privacy of your personal information, and we have put this privacy policy in place so that you can understand how we collect and use your personal information and the choices you have regarding that collection and use. The site is owned and operated by 19 Nicholson Operator LLC, who we refer to, together with our affiliates, as “us”, “we” or “our”. When we refer to “you” and “your” in this privacy policy, we are referring to you as a visitor to and user of the site. 

Introduction and acceptance of this privacy policy

This privacy policy describes what information we may collect from or about you, how we collect it, how we use it, and with whom and why we may share it. it applies to any information we collect from or about you as a guest or other user of our site and our services, and as such it applies to information we may collect online, over the phone, or in person.

Please read this privacy policy completely and carefully before using the site or giving us any information, particularly personal information. by using the site or otherwise voluntarily providing us with your information, you are agreeing to these privacy terms.

Technology and online practices change from time to time, as do applicable privacy laws. Therefore, we may revise this privacy policy to align our notices with these technological and legal changes. We will post the updated policy on this page, and those updates will be effective once the new policy is posted. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to check this page for updates. You will be able to determine when the last update was made by referring to the “last modified” legend at the top. by using the site after we post any changes, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them.

How we collect and use your personal information

    Browsing and Device Information: We collect limited browsing information when users visit the site, so depending on the particular device you use to access our site, we may be able to identify that device. We use this information to understand site traffic and evaluate our marketing efforts.

    Identification and Contact Information: This is information that identifies you as an individual (like your first and last name), and information that enables us to contact you (like your email address, mailing address, or phone number). It also may include information about you, such as information about your personal characteristics, guest preferences, and how you have interacted with us online or in person. This information is collected if you sign up to receive our emails or other promotional materials, if you contact us with an inquiry, if you make reservations with us, if you visit our hotel, lounge, or restaurant as a guest, or if you participate in any events we may offer from time to time. We may also receive information indirectly, for example if someone makes a reservation on your behalf. we collect and use this information for the purposes of (a) verifying your identity; (b) transacting business with you, which may include managing your hotel and dining reservations, completing your purchases of products and services, providing customer service, allowing you to participate in promotions and events, and seeking feedback on our services; (c) responding to any inquiry you send to us; and d) subject to your right to opt out and subject to applicable law, sending you newsletters and other promotional materials about products and services you may be interested in.

    Billing information: If you transact business with us, such as by making a reservation or purchasing products or services from us, we will collect applicable billing information from you, such as credit card or bank account information, or, depending on payment options, information about your other payment method. We collect and use this information to hold reservations, complete purchases, and process required payments.

    Application information: if you inquire about employment opportunities with us, we will receive all of the personal information you include with your application. We use this information to evaluate and respond to applications.

    Other information: From time to time, we may collect information that is specific to an event, which will generally include information such as your name and any content, including images (photographs, etc.) you choose to provide to us. We will collect and use this information to allow our clients and others to engage with us and share information.

Retention period

We keep the personal information that we collect for as long as we continue to have a business need to do so, unless a longer period is required by law. Business needs include legal, tax, accounting, risk management, and other business purposes.

Social sharing features

Our site may offer social networking and similar sharing features, Instagram buttons, which let you access our social media pages and may allow you to share information related to the site through your preferred social media platforms. If you permit a connection between our site and your social network page(s), we (and the social network) may be able to identify you, and associate the information we (and they) receive with information we (and they) already have about you. In addition, if you interact with us through our social media pages, such as through an exchange of comments on our Instagram page, or interactions through the messenger feature of social media sites, that interaction will also be governed by the privacy policies of the applicable social media site.

Our security measures

We use a variety of industry-standard security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information, including measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. We store the personal information you provide on secure (password- and firewall-protected) servers. All electronic financial transactions conducted through our site are protected by encryption technology.

Please be aware that, unfortunately, no electronic data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we believe that we use reasonable measures to protect personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted or otherwise provided to us or received from us.

Use of services by minors

Our Website is not directed to individuals under the age of fifteen (15), and we request that these individuals not provide personal Information on our Website.  If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 15, please contact us.

Sensitive personal information 

We ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any Sensitive Personal Information (for example, social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background or trade union membership) on or through our Website.

Correcting & updating information

If you believe that any of the personal information we have about you is incorrect, you can contact us at any time at info@littlecatlodge.com to request that we make the appropriate corrections.

Removal of information

As stated above, we have standard retention practices with respect to the personal data we collect; if you would like to request any earlier removal of your personal information, please contact us at info@littlecatlodge.com. Please be advised that we may not be able to completely remove personal information from our systems in certain circumstances. This includes data that is not in a searchable format, if it is retained in backup systems, if we need it in order to prevent fraud or future abuse, or if we are required by law to keep it.
